This is a dynamic opportunity to work with our partner organization, who is a leading Child Safety provider throughout Queensland, ensuring that children and young people are offered a safe and stable environment to reach their goals.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and reviewing individual plans to meet the needs of children and young people. They will also maintain an understanding of the principles of Child Protection and collaborate with other government and non-government agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective care plans to support the needs of children and young people.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including progress notes and incident reports.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support services.
  • Provide supervision, guidance, and support to residential care workers.
  • Participate in regular meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality care standards.
  • Assist with the recruitment and selection process for new staff members.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A strong understanding of complex care issues and trauma-informed practice.
  • An ability to manage conflicts and complaints effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A recognized qualification in a relevant field (e.g., social work, child and youth care).
  • A Blue Card for Working with Children and NDIS Worker Screening/Yellow Card.
  • Hope and Healing online Framework Foundations Training.
