Join a team of dedicated professionals in the fight to reduce child safety interventions and provide support in all wellbeing domains to improve maternal and infant health for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families in the Logan area. A specialist level advocate to expectant mothers, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future success of families, in a ground-breaking and evidence-based model of care.

Duties

Identification of families who require advocacy and wellbeing support.
Develop and action in-depth holistic family case plans to address support needs.
Lead case management reviews internally and externally, ensuring fidelity to the program model of care.
Provide brief interventions to address child safety concerns.
Attend appointments and meetings for the families as required.
Ability to share your knowledge and provide support to Family Support Workers in your team.

**Skills and Experiences**:
COVID-19 Requirements
- Immunisation history showing you have received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.

Required

Current Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, social science, health, allied health, youth work, community services, family intervention or criminology with 4 years' relevant experience in family support, child protection, youth support or related field.

OR

Current Diploma in community services, social work, human services, child and family, allied health, youth work, child and family intervention with 5 years' relevant experience in family support, child protection, youth support or related field.

AND

With at least 3 years of above mentioned experience in a case management role.

Skills and Knowledge

Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in working with child safety legislation and frameworks.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the factors contributing to vulnerability, disengagement, and intergenerational trauma of client group.
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to provide behaviour change interventions that build client self-awareness and active change in achieving their identified goals.
Demonstrated ability to work with the whole-of-family, irrespective of primary client, in meeting the totality of family needs.
Experience with case management for high risk and/or crisis clients, with high-level planning and organisational skills.
Knowledge of the supports available to target clients in the areas of mental health, substance misuse, education, employment, and housing.
Current Blue Card (essential prior to commencement).
Current Yellow Card (Disability Worker Screening).
Current national police check.
Current C Class Drivers Licence (Qld) and the ability to travel daily.
