The Child and Youth Community Health Services (CYCHS) provide life-changing healthcare to children and young people across Queensland, striving for a healthier tomorrow. This dynamic team brings together specialist community services to empower kids and their families to lead healthier lives.
CYCHS predominantly offers front-line health care to communities throughout south-east Queensland, catering to 470,000 children, representing 42% of Queensland's youngsters. A comprehensive range of services spans the continuum of care, including health promotion.
A multitude of Child and Youth Community Health programs, such as Deadly Ears, reach out to communities statewide.
This position demands collaboration with families to deliver culturally responsive child-centred care within the family and community context. As part of the multi-disciplinary team, you will work across the Child Health Service, providing services in a culturally respectful and appropriate manner.
Your key responsibilities include establishing an effective communication network between health providers, social support agencies, and local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, ultimately contributing to Closing the Gap Key Performance Indicators.
