About the Role

You will be working on high-impact projects across Western Australia, collaborating with international partners in Scotland and Canada to apply cutting-edge science to real-world challenges. Key Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the delivery of sustainable development projects by applying ecosystem response modeling to inform environmental approvals, cumulative impact assessments, and marine spatial planning across inland, coastal, and offshore environments.
  • Collaborating with modelling team members using TUFLOW FV hydrodynamic modeling suite to simulate ecosystem responses and support decision-making for environmental impact assessments and coastal resilience planning.
  • Assisting in managing multidisciplinary marine projects, including aquaculture expansion, waste discharge planning, dredging and reclamation, sediment transport studies, hydrographic and environmental surveys, habitat mapping, and marine infrastructure development.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A strong understanding of Australian and international environmental standards, with practical experience applying them across inland, coastal, and offshore projects.
  • A minimum of 6 years' post-graduate experience in environmental project delivery.
  • Proven expertise in numerical modeling, including data analysis and interpretation for complex environmental systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in environmental modeling, metocean monitoring, and coastal management.
  • Proficiency in multiple modeling and data analysis platforms, with a willingness to learn new tools.
  • Commercial awareness, with experience contributing to project planning and delivery.
