About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Onsite Support Engineer to join our consulting team at Green Light, a leading IT services business in Australia. As an Onsite Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support across various platforms, including desktop infrastructure, network monitoring, and server management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Desktop Support: Provide technical support for desktop infrastructure, including hardware, operating systems, and software.
  • Virtualized Microsoft Platform: Deploy, maintain, administer, and support the virtualized Microsoft platform.
  • Multi-Platform Environment: Provide technical support across a multi-platform clustered environment, including MS OS 2008/2012/2016 and Active Directory.
  • Documentation and Handover: Provide comprehensive documentation and manage effective handovers.
  • Physical Infrastructure: Maintain physical infrastructure, including desktops, laptops, telephony, printers, and video conferencing equipment.
  • Network Escalation: Build and strengthen working relationships with network escalation groups to assist in effective resolution of customer faults.
  • Customer Support: Assist with customer device and application configuration, and work with customers/employees to identify problems and advise on solutions.
Requirements
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in a similar capacity as a Service Desk and/or Desktop Engineer.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft and Citrix platforms, understanding of networking principles, and experience troubleshooting connectivity issues.
  • Soft Skills: Highly developed analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, excellent telephone, client service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • ITIL: Understanding of ITIL process or previous experience in an ITIL environment is highly advantageous.
