
Aboriginal Specialist Service Leader

This role involves leading the work of a specialist service in Sexual Assault and Domestic and Family Violence for Aboriginal people.
- The successful applicant will work with Aboriginal people who have experienced sexual assault and/or domestic and family violence and their families to provide culturally safe and appropriate needs assessment and access to therapy, counselling and other supports and services tailored to their needs.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and have a strong understanding of cultural safety principles.
A career development plan will be in place to support the successful applicant's professional progression.
Key Responsibilities:
- To lead and manage the development of projects that address the complex issues affecting Aboriginal people.
- To develop and maintain effective relationships with Aboriginal communities, key stakeholders and other relevant parties.
- To provide leadership and management to a team of professionals working on these initiatives.
- To contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to Aboriginal health and wellbeing.
