We are seeking a skilled Aboriginal Cancer Care Project Officer to join our team.
About the RoleThe successful applicant will support the Cancer Care Coordinator in designing and delivering a Model of Care toolkit that is culturally safe, practical, and responsive to community needs.
- Support the design and implementation of the Aboriginal Cancer Care Model of Care toolkit.
- Undertake project planning, coordination, and reporting to support service development.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, health providers, and Aboriginal communities to identify gaps and co-design solutions.
- Strengthen partnerships to improve integration of culturally safe cancer care services.
- Contribute to evaluation and continuous improvement of cancer care pathways for Aboriginal patients and families.
- Project Planning: Coordinate project activities, resources, and timelines to ensure successful delivery.
- Communication and Collaboration: Foster effective relationships with stakeholders, including internal teams, health providers, and Aboriginal communities.
- Service Development: Develop and implement strategies to improve cancer care services for Aboriginal patients and families.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong understanding of Aboriginal health services and the barriers faced by Aboriginal people when accessing care.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated experience in project coordination, health program planning, or service development.
- Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in health, social science, or community service.
- 4 weeks annual leave (pro-rata for part-time)
