Job Title: Village Manager

Sirrom is your turn key supplier of Life Support and Facilities Management. We possess an innate understanding of the vital necessities when it comes to providing integrated facilities management services to remote workforce communities in the mining, construction and resource sectors.

We offer a range of villages offering a "home away from home" for workforce living with some readily available for dry hire or full facilities hire.


Description

This role oversees the day-to-day operations of a remote village ensuring exceptional service standards are met while working in line with contractual scope of works. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of staff and delivering tailored catering and hospitality services.

  • Provide high level of professionalism when dealing with village residents, visitors and staff.
  • Have excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients, residents, colleagues and visitors.
  • Possess comprehensive understanding of site-specific scope of works to ensure contractual requirements are met.
  • Continually encourage and develop workforce performance in line with Sirrom long term development goals.
  • Complete all operational reporting documents accurately and on time.
  • Have sound knowledge of OH&S/WHS requirements both legislative and site-specific.
  • Provide employees with relevant training and support in all aspects of their individual positions.
  • Ensure food standards at site are compliant and in line with HACCP plans and Critical Control Point (CCP).
Required Skills and Qualifications

The following qualifications and skills are required for this role:

  • Minimum 2 years prior experience as a mine-site village manager or assistant mine-site village manager.
  • Well-developed people management skills.
  • Safety awareness.
  • A positive attitude toward providing excellent customer service.
  • Competent computer skills with the ability to learn new systems.
  • Hold a current Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Hold a Food Safety for Supervisors Certificate.
  • Pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol screen.
