Procurement and Contracts Lead Opportunity

Wood is seeking a skilled Procurement and Contracts Lead to join our Operations team in Australia & Asia Pacific West (APAC WEST). This role is part of our strategic growth plan for 2024 and beyond, and will be based in Perth CBD.

Our Operations business delivers Brownfield's engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation and technical services to the Energy industry. We enjoy long-term partnerships with prominent Energy and LNG producers in Western Australia, Northern Territory, and Southeast Asia.

As a Procurement and Contracts Lead, you will be responsible for managing our supply chain and contracts, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and client requirements. You will have a strong understanding of commercial evaluations, negotiations, and terms and conditions of purchase/contract.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing procurement strategies to meet business objectives
  • Managing supplier relationships and contract negotiations
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Providing commercial advice to stakeholders on procurement and contract matters
  • Leading a team of procurement professionals to achieve business objectives

You will have a degree or equivalent professional qualifications in Commerce, Law, Supply Chain/Logistics from a recognised institution, and a minimum of 10 years of relevant supply chain experience. You will also have:

  • Demonstrated experience in industry best practices in Subcontract Agreements and Framework Agreements
  • Detailed knowledge of suppliers, commercial evaluations, negotiations, and terms and conditions of purchase/contract
  • Proficiency in the use of ERP Systems (Maximo, Oracle, SAP)
  • Commercial acumen and a solutions mindset
  • Leadership skills and experience in managing teams
