Wood Plc is seeking a skilled Contracts and Procurement Lead to join our Operations business in Australia & Asia Pacific West (APAC WEST). This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our expanding Operations team, as part of our strategic growth plan for 2024 and beyond.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the procurement and contract management function, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our clients. You will work closely with our project execution team to identify opportunities for efficiency, process, and tool improvement, and drive through change for optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business objectives
  • Manage and negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure best value for the company
  • Lead the procurement and contract management function, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with the project execution team to identify opportunities for improvement and drive through change
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in procurement and contract management, preferably in the energy industry
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality services and achieving business objectives
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage teams
  • Proficiency in the use of ERP systems, such as Maximo, Oracle, or SAP
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
