Key Role:

You will join our technology function as a senior data expert responsible for building and maintaining seamless, secure and sustainable platforms that enable customers to shop with confidence.

As a highly skilled professional, you will be instrumental in deploying cutting-edge AI and machine learning solutions. You'll leverage advanced analytical and statistical techniques to optimise critical processes significantly boosting operational efficiency and elevating the customer experience.

Through technical delivery and strategic influence, you'll shape the future of data science within our organisation.

  1. Spearhead the development of innovative AI solutions leveraging cutting-edge techniques and technologies like large language models and AI agents.
  2. Architect and build sophisticated machine learning models including supervised unsupervised and reinforcement learning deep learning architectures to tackle complex business challenges.
  3. Work closely with both technical and non-technical cross-functional teams translating intricate business requirements into impactful data science solutions.
  4. Design and execute data-driven experiments rigorously testing hypotheses to inform and accelerate continuous improvement cycles.
  5. Articulate complex data findings and strategic recommendations to diverse stakeholders through compelling visualisations and presentations.
  6. Stay ahead of the curve with the latest advancements in AI data science machine learning and analytics actively contributing to the continuous learning and development of our team.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of proven experience as a data scientist or in a similar analytical role.
  • Expert proficiency in Python and its core data science ecosystem including libraries like pandas numpy and scikit-learn.
  • Expertise in employing SQL for effective data manipulation and extraction is evident.
  • Solid understanding of statistical concepts and machine learning techniques backed by hands-on experience in model development and rigorous evaluation.
  • Proven track record of delivering impactful AI or data products with practical experience deploying models into production environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills enabling you to clearly convey complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • An aptitude for identifying and managing risks.
