Academic Positions in Statistics/Data Science

We are seeking highly qualified academics to join our team in the field of Statistics/Data Science.

The successful candidates will be responsible for teaching and research, with opportunities to contribute to the development of new programs and initiatives.

Our School is a major centre of research and teaching in the mathematical sciences, with notable strengths in fundamental research right through to groundbreaking applications.

The positions are available at Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level, with a strong focus on research excellence and academic leadership.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a relevant mathematical science, demonstrated research ability, effective teaching experience, and a strong publication record.

They will also have a capacity to continue productive research at the international level, a record of success in external research funding, and strong dedication to independent research and research leadership.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the School's research and teaching activities, including supervising students, publishing research papers, and participating in departmental service.

They will also have opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across the School and University, and to engage with industry partners and stakeholders.

Key selection criteria include a PhD in a relevant mathematical science, demonstrated research ability, effective teaching experience, and a strong publication record.
