Job Title: Risk and Compliance Advisor

Risk and compliance management is a critical aspect of our organization's operations. As a trusted adviser, you will be responsible for identifying and assessing risk and compliance issues.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Risk and Compliance Advisor. In this role, you will provide front-line support to stakeholders, build effective relationships with business units, and assist in understanding and implementing risk, compliance, and controls frameworks.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide Support: Offer assistance to stakeholders, including Advisers, Associate Advisers, and Associates, Heads of Advisory, Front Office Risk Manager(s), and Regional Managers.
  • Build Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate a culture of risk and compliance awareness, oversight, ownership, and management.
  • Assist in Framework Implementation: Work with business units to develop, maintain, and review risk and compliance objectives, priorities, accountabilities, responsibilities, training, education, awareness campaigns, supervisory processes, reporting requirements, risk profiles, risk registers, risk controls, risk indicators, compliance plans, procedures, controls, and registers.
Your Profile:

We seek an experienced professional with:

  • 5+ years of experience in risk, compliance, and/or assurance, focusing on wealth management.
  • Understanding of wholesale and retail regulatory environments within Australia.
  • Experience overseeing wealth management advice business functions, including file reviews (preferably with a wholesale client focus).
  • Knowledge and practical experience of risk and compliance management frameworks and processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Management, Finance, or Law.
  • Relevant industry qualifications/certifications, such as RG 146, desirable.
