Delivering for Customers (SAF JV) is a consortium comprising John Holland, Service Stream and WSP. Over the next 6 years we are partnering with Sydney Water to desilt and rehabilitate Sydney's Critical Sewer assets in the South – a once in a generation program of work that will optimise the performance of these critical assets and preserve them for another 50 years of operation. About The Opportunity

Delivering for Customers (SAF JV) is currently seeking a Project Engineer to join the South Avoid Fail Program. As a key member of our on-site delivery team you will manage the safe and efficient delivery of large diameter critical sewer projects, ensuring they are completed within the set timeframes, budgets, and quality standards, while coordinating resources, overseeing subcontractors, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Accountabilities

• Supporting Project Managers to ensure allocated projects are safely delivered to scope within time, cost, quality, environmental and regulatory standards
• Setting daily, weekly and long-term project programs to achieve required project outputs with plant, labour, materials and resources
• Monitoring and reviewing costs, invoices and claims for allocated projects
• Contributing to the constructability of a project with respect to design development
• Undertaking tenders, evaluation, and award of subcontract procurement packages
• Monitoring the quality and quantities of incoming equipment and materials against drawings and specifications, arranging corrections or modifications where necessary as per Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
• Analysing and using document and record management systems to track progress and project performance, and report non-compliances
• Demonstrating sound people management skills by successfully managing work packages and the performance of subcontractors and our Self-Perform workforce
• Liaising and coordinating with all external parties and relevant statutory authorities, managing their attendance on site as required
• Contributing towards a great safety, quality, environment and a community culture

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, qualifications in building construction or construction management, or equivalent experience
• Previous experience working on Sydney Water (or other Water Authority) large diameter live flow sewer assets is highly regarded
• Unrestricted Drivers License
• Construction induction (White Card)
• Confined Space valid within 2 years
• Gas Test Atmospheres valid within 2 years
• Confined space rescue valid within 2 years
• Work at heights valid within 2 years
• Experience in deep shaft access and manhole construction/rehabilitation is desirable
