About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Demi Chef to join our culinary team at RACV Noosa Resort in the beautiful Sunshine Coast, QLD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve a consistent high-quality product to our members and guests.
  • Perform knife skills, mis en place, cooking techniques, and duties to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Maintain equipment, utensils, and a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Manage the regular rotation of stock to minimize wastage and optimize inventory.
  • Continually update knowledge and skills in procedures and techniques, and gain a broad understanding of all sections of the kitchen.
  • Follow directions from senior chefs and work as a team player to achieve exceptional results.
Requirements
  • Previous Demi Chef experience in a 4-5 star hotel or resort, or similar environment.
  • A Commercial Cookery qualification, recognized in Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience in cookery and well-developed knife skills.
  • Solid knowledge of kitchen sections, service styles, mis en place procedures, food items, cookery techniques, sauces, cold larder, vegetables, and butchery.
  • Thrive in a large, busy, and fast-paced work environment.
  • The ability to comfortably lift 20kgs and perform repetitive manual tasks safely.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
