We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Demi Chef to join our culinary team at RACV Noosa Resort in the beautiful Sunshine Coast, QLD.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the effective operation of the kitchen, working closely with other kitchen staff to provide high-quality food and service to our members and guests.
- Perform a range of tasks, including knife skills, mise en place, cooking techniques, and duties.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen, including equipment, utensils, and storage areas.
- Manage stock rotation, minimizing waste and ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest procedures and techniques, and contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
- Previous Demi Chef experience in a 4-5 star hotel or resort, or similar environment.
- A Commercial Cookery qualification, recognized in Australia.
- Demonstrated experience in cookery and well-developed knife skills.
- Solid knowledge of kitchen sections, service styles, mise en place procedures, food items, cookery techniques, sauces, cold larder, vegetables, and butchery.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Comfortable lifting 20kgs and performing repetitive manual tasks safely.
- Full working rights in Australia.
