Role Overview

This finance position focuses on implementing technology solutions, including AI, to enhance the digitization of accounting processes. The successful candidate will help roll out these changes while assisting with routine tasks across the Finance team.

The role involves completing month-end accounting, bank reconciliations, financial statements preparation, and supporting the Finance team with operational finance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in identifying, analyzing, and implementing technology solutions to improve finance operations.
  • Help automate and digitize the Finance function by leveraging AI and other digital tools.
  • Perform bank reconciliations for multiple entities within the organization.
  • Analyze variances between bank transactions and system-generated reports.
  • Prepare month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations for specified entities.
  • Support the Finance team with accounting reconciliations and regulatory compliance reporting (GST/BAS, APRA, and ABS).
  • Assist with completing Audit information requests.
About You

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a technology-driven finance role.
  • Reliability and ability to meet deadlines.
  • A hands-on approach to teamwork.
  • Tertiary qualifications in economics, business, accounting, finance, or a STEM subject.
  • Skills and experience to support business growth.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly.
  • A strong understanding of how a finance function operates.
