We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Coordinator to join our team in Sydney, AU.

This is a critical role that requires strong administrative skills, effective communication, and a commitment to quality improvement.

  • Responsibilities include answering the switchboard in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Liaising with patients and their families in a compassionate manner.
  • Performing general clerical and administrative tasks as required.
  • Maintaining petty cash accounts and reconciliations.
  • Ensuring proper inventory levels and ordering office supplies.
  • Providing assistance with the quality improvement program.

Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

• Admitting and discharging patients within a centralized billing system.

• Ensuring all necessary forms for new patients are completed and correctly loaded into the centralized billing system.

• Conducting eligibility checks on all new patients with their Private Health Fund.

• Preparing invoices and credit notes in relation to revenue generation.

• Maintaining an accurate record management system of all patient records.

Patient Service:

The successful applicant will be expected to:

• Ensure cleanliness and neatness of patient treatment area, stockroom and medical devices.

• Assist with the collection and distribution of basic food preparation and delivery of nutritional requirements to patients and visitors.

• Manage the ordering of all stock and consumables for the operation of the clinic.

• Confirm delivery of stock and cross-check inventory with documentation.

• Participate in Quality Assurance activities as required.

• Engage in internal and external in-service activities to enhance/maintain skills and knowledge.

Essential Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

• 3 years experience in a similar role.

• Knowledge of Infection Control/Hygiene principles.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Basic office skills, including filing and answering telephone enquiries.

• Completion of a Patient Service Assistant Certificate or equivalent qualification.

• Computer competence in MS Office.
