Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Opportunity

The MQ-28 is a cutting-edge program delivering strategic advantages to support defence operations.

Developed in partnership with the Royal Australian Air Force, it's the first military combat aircraft designed and manufactured in Australia in 50 years.

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical/Structures to support this exciting opportunity at RAAF Base Amberley, Queensland.

This role may also involve supporting other programmes at Amberley including C-17A Globemaster, F/A-18F Super Hornet, EA-18G Growler and E-7A Wedgetail.

Key Responsibilities

The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, modifying, servicing, inspecting, testing and troubleshooting aircraft systems, components and equipment within their scope of expertise.

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 12 months experience as a fully qualified maintainer
  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills Mechanical qualification
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defence security clearance at the required level
  • International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITARS) clearance
  • Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) compliance
  • Fluent English language skills
  • Demonstrated computer literacy
  • Demonstrated competence to seek delegated authorities under the DASR 145 Aircraft Maintenance Regulatory Framework
  • Aerospace knowledge: quality assurance procedures; maintenance/modification procedures; AMD and ICA documentation

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous experience in a Defence Military Aerospace environment
  • Valid DASR Category B MAML
  • Dual Trade/Mech-structures Certificate IV (Dual Trade)
