Job Title: Offender Case Manager
This role plays a critical part in supporting community safety by managing complex offender cases.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage a caseload of high-risk offenders on court orders who have completed part of their sentence in custody.
• Utilize evidence-based frameworks to deliver dynamic practice in case management, ensuring effective assessment, planning, intervention, and review.
• Motivate and influence individuals in the case management process, modeling pro-social behaviors and drawing on offender strengths-based approaches.
Other Key Aspects:
• Contribute to a strengthened and integrated through-care approach for offenders transitioning from prison to court orders.
• Encourage offenders to take ownership of their appointments with other services required.
• Link offenders with relevant services, including alcohol and other drugs (AOD), mental health, housing, and medical support.
• Produce written reports with appropriate analysis and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
About You:
• Be a strong communicator with the ability to adapt your style.
• Possess a non-judgmental attitude towards offenders.
• Demonstrate comfort working in a team environment and assisting colleagues.
• Show strong stakeholder engagement with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
• Ideally have experience working with complex groups such as homelessness, drug and alcohol, and child protection.
