The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Practice Leader to provide expert case advice and leadership in our Child Protection team. The successful candidate will support and develop practitioners in the integration of theory and practice, demonstrating expertise through case management.

The Practice Leader will be responsible for:

  • Risk assessment and analysis: gathering information to identify, articulate, and plan for risks relating to each situation, applying a strong forensic lens and professional judgement.
  • Case planning review and case management: formulating meaningful and effective case plans, reviewing case progress and outcomes, and coordinating and leading casework within DFFH and across other agencies and services.
  • Critical enquiry: using evidence-based frameworks to investigate issues and understand root causes, as well as potential implications.

Key Requirements:

  • Expertise in child protection practice and policy.
  • Ability to provide complex case advice and support.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
