
Lead Child Protection Specialist

The Child Protection Team Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective delivery of services, managing resources, and overseeing cases awaiting allocation. This position requires a strong ability to endorse and review case plans to bring about necessary changes, guaranteeing the safety, stability, and development of children and young people.
This demanding role necessitates collaboration with Senior Child Protection Practitioners to enhance case practice, provide exceptional service delivery, and support other practitioners. One essential requirement is the transportation of children, which demands a valid driver's license and willingness to travel, including in-country regions.
Occasional overnight work, evening, and early morning travel may be required to ensure the well-being of children. The team manager must possess an understanding of Aboriginal culture and demonstrate knowledge of legislative, policy, and practice requirements related to Aboriginal children, families, and communities.
Key accountabilities include critical assessment and reflection, engaging others, delivering results, and leading and inspiring teams.
