The role of a Support Worker is instrumental in empowering individuals with disabilities to live fulfilling lives. This position requires the individual to provide support and encouragement to clients, focusing on skill development and enriching their experiences through creative activities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care assistance to clients with disabilities, including daily living tasks.
- Support clients in developing essential life skills and confidence-building activities.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to clients.
- Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrated understanding of the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) processes.
- Handy craft skills such as sewing, knitting, or crocheting are desirable.
