Job Description

This is a permanent part-time position, requiring flexibility to work across Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4pm. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting and empowering people with disability to live a life of their choice. Your responsibilities will include:

  • \
  • Providing support to clients to live an active lifestyle and participate in their community through the delivery of person-centred programs;\
  • Working to behaviour support plans by utilising positive behaviour strategies;\
  • Assisting and supporting clients with personal and hygiene care;\
  • Communicating with families about clients' progress;\
  • Maintaining progress notes and record-keeping.\

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • \
  • Experience in the Disability sector; \
  • Ability to support others with personal and hygiene care;\
  • Demonstrated experience supporting clients with behaviours of concern;\
  • Personal qualities of resilience, empathy and self-confidence;\
  • High levels of enthusiasm, initiative and a positive attitude while acting with integrity, honesty and respect;\
  • A valid driver's license and vehicle.\
