Job Title: Lactation Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lactation Consultant to join our team in the North West Queensland region. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of women and their families by providing expert lactation support and guidance.

The successful candidate will work closely with our midwifery service to deliver high-quality care and education to patients, promoting breastfeeding as a positive and empowering experience for all mothers.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Relevant tertiary degree qualification in nursing or midwifery
  • Current registration/licence as a Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Registered Midwife (RM)
  • International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification
  • Postgraduate qualification or currently enrolled in a postgraduate program in a relevant area of study

This role requires travel to various facilities within the North West Hospital and Health Service, and a C Class Motor Vehicle Licence is essential.
