Job Title: Workforce Coordinator

The Workforce Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring our services are compliant and staffed correctly across multiple locations.

This includes overseeing casual staffing and workforce management, collaborating with other teams to optimise staff rosters, and tackling workforce challenges head-on.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain efficient staffing rosters, monitor staff availability and leave, coordinate casual staff, and manage emergency labour hire plans with third-party agencies.
  • Resolve workforce-related issues, including leave and emergency shortages, and provide HR policy guidance to Area Managers.
  • Ensure adherence to child safety and service standards, and generate reports on staffing, attendance, and workforce trends for senior management.
  • Foster a positive work environment, address employee concerns, improve retention, and implement strategies to enhance casual staff satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • A degree in HR, Business, Education, or related field (preferred) with proven experience in multi-site workforce coordination and scheduling ideally in education or care services.
  • Knowledge of childcare regulations, OSHC standards, and workforce management tools.
  • Strong organisational, resilience, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage operations across multiple locations and work collaboratively or independently.
