Project Manager Role



We are seeking a skilled project manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, monitoring and delivering work packages using agile project management methodology.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in project management and coordination activities by monitoring and reviewing program and project activities against plans.

Contribute to the development and management of project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency's project management framework.

Provide advice, procedural guidance and technical expertise in specific areas of project work.

Perform research work and analysis including contributing to the preparation of reports on relevant project activities.

Contribute to regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports.

Draft a range of written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation for review.

Requirements:

The successful candidate must hold Australian Citizenship and have strong understanding of agile project management methodology. They must also be able to meet critical deadlines and develop and maintain project artefacts.

They should be able to work with minimal supervision as an effective team member, using initiative to manage competing priorities. Experience initiating, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders is also required.

The candidate must be able to communicate complex information clearly and concisely through written briefs, reporting and presentations. They must also be able to apply judgement to resolve issues and make evidence-informed decisions.

Advanced communication skills and ability to work well with stakeholders and manage expectations are essential. Well-developed Microsoft 365 skills (Word, PowerPoint, Planner) are also required.
