Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Support Worker to join our team. As an Assistant in Nursing, you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centered support services to clients, promoting independence and self-advocacy.
  • Deliver personal and physical care, including grooming, toileting, meal preparation, and assistance with daily living activities.
  • Support clients to access recreational services, transport, and community activities, fostering social connections and relationships.
  • Advocate for clients' rights and interests, ensuring their voices are heard and valued.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized care plans, addressing clients' unique needs and goals.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications (Cert IV in Disability or Individual Support) and experience working with adults and/or children with complex disabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing environments.
  • Understanding of and commitment to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and Code of Conduct.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, respecting clients' autonomy and dignity at all times.
