Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the delivery of road pavement projects and pavement maintenance works. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of project managers, project engineers, and supervisors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

About the Role:

  • Lead a team of project managers, project engineers, and supervisors to deliver pavement and line marking projects
  • Owning and managing construction programs and reporting any deviations
  • Monitoring construction progress and compiling monthly reports detailing cost, time, safety, and environmental aspects
  • Managing agreed construction budgets from the completion of design phase in collaboration with project managers
  • Providing monthly forecast inputs for pavement and line marking projects in post-design completion phase
  • Assisting project managers in preparing full and complete construction works estimates
  • Undertaking the preparation of business tender documents
  • Reviewing, creating, and implementing strategies that increase the efficiencies of pavement project delivery and maintenance works

About You:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated strong experience in civil construction, project management, road maintenance, network contracts, and business development
  • Demonstrated experience in pavement construction delivery along existing roads in an urban environment
  • Advanced problem-solving skills
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, MS Project
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Results driven, ability to meet strict deadlines
