Job Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Principal Pavement Engineer / Associate Technical Director to join our dynamic National Pavements team in Sydney. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering high-profile projects across Australia, working alongside some of the industry's brightest minds.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to showcase your expertise in pavement design and major project delivery. You will be responsible for providing technical leadership and advice on pavement design, developing and producing flexible and rigid pavement thickness designs, and building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Technical leadership and advice on pavement design;
- Development and production of pavement designs;
- Relationship building and stakeholder management;
- Representation of the company within the industry;
- Collaboration with other design teams and disciplines;
- Meeting project deadlines and ensuring commitments are met;
- Presentation of pavement design to clients and stakeholders;
Requirements
- You are a chartered civil engineer with extensive experience in pavement design and major project delivery;
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent professional accreditation;
- Approximately 15+ years' relevant Australian experience in all forms of pavement design;
- Expertise in pavement evaluation and rehabilitation design;
- Passion to drive innovation and improvement in pavement design solutions;
- Excellent client-focus and sound technical know-how;
- Demonstrated ability to lead a small team;
- Competent in the use of specialist pavement design software;
- Demonstrated involvement in technical societies in the field of pavements;
- Excellent presentation skills;
- Demonstrated experience of managing interdisciplinary design interfaces;
- Experience preparing fee buildups and proposals;
- Whole of life cost analysis and pavement optioneering;
- Delivery of high quality drawings and reports;
- Demonstrated self-management and ability to work independently;
