About the Role
Catholic Healthcare is seeking a skilled Maintenance Coordinator to join our team at Villa Maria Fortitude Valley. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the physical safety, well-being, and comfort of our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance program to minimize equipment downtime and ensure a safe and secure environment for residents and staff.
- Perform routine inspections and repairs to maintain the integrity of our facilities, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Coordinate with external contractors to address maintenance and repair needs, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.
- Collaborate with the Residential Manager and other stakeholders to identify and prioritize maintenance projects, ensuring alignment with our organization's goals and objectives.
Requirements
- Trade certificate or Cert IV in Maintenance/Building services
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and external contractors.
- Hands-on experience with building maintenance, handyman, or building services roles.
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety legislation and procedures.
- Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with residents and their families.
- Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences, and spiritual beliefs of residents.
- Great IT skills and ability to learn new systems and technologies.
- Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance.
