Electrician Field Service Job

This position is available for an Electrician Field Service professional to join our Energy Storage & Optimisation Team. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting preventive and reactive maintenance in Battery Energy Storage Systems environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct maintenance tasks on inverters, sensors, and other equipment in BESS environments.
  • Perform essential work to ensure system reliability and stability.
  • Work with fully integrated energy storage systems to address safety challenges such as power generation capacity management, fire detection, short circuit handling, and interconnection communication.
Project Overview:

The Eraring BESS project supports renewable project development by charging during daylight hours and discharging during peak periods. This initiative utilises existing transmission infrastructure to minimise new construction. The project consists of three stages with a combined capacity of 2.8 GWh, designed to enhance grid stability and renewable integration.

Onboarding and Work Hours:
  • Successful candidates can expect an immediate start.
  • A police check and pre-employment medical are required.
  • Two work references are necessary.
  • Work hours include Monday–Friday 10 hours/day, Saturday 6 hours/day, and occasional on-call periods (about one week every few weeks depending on site requirements).
Candidate Requirements:
  • A NSW Electrical Licence (unrestricted) is mandatory.
  • White Card, LVR/CPR certifications, and a valid Driver's Licence are also required.
  • HV Switching certification is desirable but not essential.
  • Candidates from all electrical backgrounds are welcome, provided they have the right attitude, willingness to learn, and comfort with routine tasks.
