Grounds Maintenance Specialist

This is a permanent part-time position commencing with flexible scheduling. As the Grounds Maintenance Specialist, you will work to provide grounds and facility management to ensure a safe and clean environment.

  • Provide a suitable growing environment for both soft and hard landscaping, including turf management.
  • Maintain and present the school grounds and gardens in an attractive, clean and tidy condition.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance as requested, as well as other duties in accordance with established policies and guidelines.

The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining the school's outdoor spaces, ensuring they are safe and aesthetically pleasing. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining grounds and gardens, including turf management.
  • Demonstrated experience in servicing horticultural equipment and performing maintenance tasks.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of gardening methods and procedures, including the safe use and storage of gardening equipment, materials and chemicals.
