Key responsibilities for this role include high-level administrative and coordination support for Parliamentary Joint Committees or Senate Standing Committees. The successful candidate will be responsible for organising, coordinating, and documenting the committee's scrutiny work.

Duties will include proofreading and editing documents, coordinating correspondence, managing databases, contributing to reports and publications, and preparing other relevant materials.

  • Coordinate meetings and hearings
  • Maintain registers, manuals, and databases
  • Liaise with parliamentarians, ministerial offices, and officials

Requirements:

  • High level of organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred qualifications:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Experience working in a parliamentary or government environment
