
Parliamentary Support Officer

This role is an opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the coordination and management of services for a senior government official. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail and sound working knowledge of parliamentary processes.
The ideal candidate will be motivated, experienced and able to exercise sound judgement in managing complex relationships with stakeholders. They will also be responsive to demands and able to prioritise work tasks effectively.
The Parliamentary Support Officer will provide assistance and services to a range of stakeholders and team members, making decisions under defined procedural parameters and offering suggestions for improvements to processes within the team or branch.
- Process and manage ministerial correspondence
- Assist with enquiries from external agencies and stakeholders
- Exercise discretion and judgement
- Contribute to the improvement of guidelines and provide advice
- Coordinate briefs and information requests
- Manage the administration and maintenance of the agency's parliamentary document management system tenant including helpdesk service
- Engage with stakeholders around the handling of ministerial items
- Assist with the coordination of briefs and information requests for the Minister
A baseline security clearance will be required, or the willingness and ability to obtain one. A current driver's license is also desirable.
As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop and support a range of complex relationships while anticipating and responding to stakeholder needs and expectations.
