Coordinating Ministerial and Parliamentary Workflow
Embark on a most valuable opportunity in the Strategy, Policy, and Industry Group. As a public servant, you will be responsible for executing one of the organisation's vital coordinating functions.
As a key member of the team, your responsibilities will place you at the centre of parliamentary workflow coordination. You will work closely with stakeholders to achieve business outcomes and provide expert advice on complex issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily handling of Ministerial and Parliamentary workflow, weekly reporting, and freedom of information for Deputy Secretary SP&I.
- Engage and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
- Take the initiative to progress work to meet business objectives, providing guidance on complex issues.
- Demonstrate strategic understanding of parliamentary business impact on Defence and government.
- Resolve problems and implement alternative solutions.
- Work collaboratively, build effective relationships, and provide constructive feedback to achieve Ministerial and Parliamentary outcomes.
Join our dynamic team contributing to parliamentary and ministerial business through quality checks. We are the gatekeepers for Ministerial Briefs, including Question Time Briefs, and support Senior Executives at Senate Estimates.
A successful candidate will:
- Be outcome-focused, with high attention to detail and exceptional time management.
- Be able to engage with and assist internal stakeholders, including Senior Executives.
- Demonstrate experience in managing competing priorities.
- Work under limited supervision with changing priorities to meet deadlines.
