Job Title: Community Development Specialist

Description:

  • Design and implement community outreach strategies for flood mitigation initiatives.
  • Act as the key liaison between stakeholders and community members.
  • Organize public forums, workshops, and consultations to gather input and feedback.
  • Develop and disseminate clear and concise communication materials.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to synchronize outreach plans with project objectives.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of outreach activities.
  • Respond promptly to community concerns and inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures in all outreach efforts.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of community engagement principles and best practices.
  • Flood knowledge and experience in community development roles.
  • Local government experience.
  • Project coordination expertise.
  • Previous experience in stakeholder management or public outreach roles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in creating and delivering presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Collaborative approach to working with diverse teams and communities.
  • Knowledge of flood management or infrastructure projects is desirable.
