We are a leading provider of fully engineered turnkey conveying and materials handling solutions for some of the world's largest mining companies. Our team manufactures and markets conveyor components, including pulleys, idlers, rapid advance-rapid retreat components, and drive-heads.

Job Title: Lead Mechanical Draftsperson

We seek a highly experienced mechanical drafting lead to join our design and manufacturing facility in Sydney. This is a full-time permanent opportunity where you will lead our drafting team and direct workload to ensure all aspects of the drafting process are carried out for each project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the drafting team in all aspects of drafting bulk materials handling equipment (Belt Conveyor Systems)
  • Develop and maintain drafting processes and systems for the engineering department
  • Direct and coordinate workload for the drafting team
  • Ensure all aspects of the drafting process are carried out for each project, including design reviews, drawing checks, and back drafting
  • Understand the operation of industry equipment
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience within a similar role, ideally in bulk material handling or heavy industrial/mining industry
  • Tertiary qualifications in related discipline, Drafting, Engineering
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D Inventor software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Drawing and design experience
  • Belt Conveyor Design experience
