Expect A Star is a specialist recruitment agency in the Early Childhood Sector, founded in 2004.

We are seeking Freelance Educators to join our team. As a Casual Educator with Expect A Star, you will have the opportunity to work with a range of educators and children aged from 0-5.

The Role: You will be responsible for facilitating learning experiences for your allocated group of children, working collaboratively with fellow educators to develop and implement inspirational educational programs.

You will also assist with covering lunch breaks, sick days, and annual leave days, participate in the observation and recording of children's development, and explore different centres and philosophies to pick up new skills.

Requirements:

  • A Certificate III / Diploma in ECEC or studying towards a qualification in Early Childhood
  • A Paid Blue Card
  • A basic food handling certificate
  • Availability for at least 2 days, and sometimes at short notice
  • Willingness to travel 30+ minutes on a regular basis
  • Passionate educators with strong communication skills
  • Reliability, flexibility, and the ability to work in new teams
