Rail Track Infrastructure Inspector

Job Summary:

Aurizon is seeking a skilled Rail Track Infrastructure Inspector to join our Infrastructure Team in Central NT. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting inspections of Aurizon's rail tracks to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of rail tracks to identify potential issues and defects
  • Proactively examine and fault-find track problems, and report them to the Superintendent/Maintenance Team for prioritization
  • Service and maintain points to ensure turnouts are operating properly
  • Input data and create work orders in the Asset Management System (AMS)
  • Travel frequently from Alice Springs to Tennant Creek or Tarcoola to conduct inspections and attend to call-outs

Requirements:

  • Certificate 3 in Rail Infrastructure or equivalent
  • Full and current 'C' Class Driver Licence is mandatory
  • Hybrid rail operation experience
  • Previous or current experience in an Inspector role or similar
  • Ability to work autonomously and travel frequently
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills for effective collaboration and stakeholder management
  • Basic computer literacy skills
