About the Role:
Aurizon is seeking a skilled Rail Track Infrastructure Specialist to join our well-established Infrastructure Team in Central NT. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our rail tracks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of rail tracks to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with Aurizon's Track Standards for Yards.
- Proactively examine and fault-find track issues, identifying maintenance needs and reporting them to the Superintendent/Maintenance Team for prioritization.
- Service and maintain points to ensure turnouts are operating properly, and input data and create work orders in our Asset Management System (AMS).
- Frequent travel is required from Alice Springs to Tennant Creek or Tarcoola, and you will be expected to attend to call-outs and urgent inspection requirements.
About You:
- You hold a Certificate 3 in Rail Infrastructure or equivalent, and possess a Full and current 'C' Class Driver Licence.
- You have experience in Hyrail operation and a previous or current role in an Inspector position or similar.
- You are comfortable with traveling and working autonomously, and find repetitive tasks and routine satisfying.
- You possess strong interpersonal communication skills for effective collaboration and stakeholder management, and basic computer literacy skills.
