Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Deliver efficient and cost-effective, high-quality Tenures Management Services aligned with the Department's strategic objectives.

  • Provide leadership and direction on operational management issues to a multidisciplinary team.

  • Offer high-level advice on exploration and production activities to diverse clients and stakeholders.

  • Prepare submissions, briefs, and correspondence contributing to legislation, departmental policies, and procedures related to exploration, development, and production tenures.

  • Represent the Department in consultations and negotiations with government agencies, industry stakeholders, and other key organizations.

  • Advise, liaise, negotiate, and manage expectations at a high level with key clients, government agencies, and legal representatives.

  • Provide expert interpretation of legislation and policies regarding tenures and petroleum.

  • Perform additional duties as required and directed.
