Organisational Overview

Reconciliation Australia is an independent, national, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting reconciliation between Australians and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Our vision is for a just and equitable society.

We are seeking a highly motivated Human Resources Specialist to support our Corporate Services Team. The successful candidate will deliver HR services across the organisation and contribute to organisational development projects.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills, strong stakeholder management abilities, and attention to detail. They will thrive in a supportive team environment and be passionate about our mission.

  • Commitment to reconciliation and willingness to learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
  • Previous experience in HR administration or project coordination.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including influencing, negotiating, and counselling staff.
  • Ability to utilise software to support HR outcomes (e.g., SharePoint, Asana, ELMO).
  • Capacity to work independently and take initiative while collaborating with other teams.
  • Reliability, flexibility, and confidentiality.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR, business, or equivalent.
