An exciting opportunity has become available within the Legal Services team at Ramsay Health Care on a permanent full-time basis.

The Role

This position will be responsible for providing support to the National Legal Manager, Commercial, and Commercial Legal Services Department on a wide range of legal, corporate governance and risk management matters in Ramsay Australia facilities, business units and Head Office departments.

The Person

The successful applicant will have experience in contract drafting, preparation and negotiation, and providing legal support and advice on a variety of legal issues, including commercial and corporate matters, health and pharmacy industry regulation, clinical trials and research, competition and consumer law, property, regulatory matters, privacy and data breach. You will be able to develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, such as external lawyers, joint venture partners, contractors, and Ramsay Managers and employees.

You will also have the following:

  • Solicitor admitted to a Supreme Court of a State of Australia;
  • Minimum of 5 years post admission experience in a major law firm and/or ASX listed business;
  • Experience in contract review, drafting and negotiation;
  • Experience or a keen interest in health care;
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required;
  • Proven ability to work effectively with a broad range of stakeholders;
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
  • High level of computer literacy including Microsoft Office programs;
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, with attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy; and
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong alignment with and commitment to The Ramsay Way values.
