Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify pest issues and develop effective control strategies.
  • Apply targeted treatments and solutions to prevent pest infestations and maintain a safe environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of services provided and materials used, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform land management activities, including ride-on mowing, tractor slashing, and chainsaw operation, to maintain environmental health and safety.
  • Participate in minor planned maintenance activities and inspections to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Identify and report Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) discoveries, ensuring the safety of personnel and the environment.
  • Provide support to the Range Control function, ensuring seamless operations and effective communication.
  • Manage temporary accommodation and associated areas, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for personnel.
  • Develop and implement first response bushfire fighting capabilities, including the provision of designated fire fighting vehicles, equipment, and crews.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in pest control and environmental grounds maintenance is highly desirable.
  • Pest and vermin control qualifications, as well as a Chemical Application Certificate, are essential.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Sound time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
