A Workforce Capability Development Manager is required to join our team.
About the RoleThis role will operate primarily from a home office with occasional visits to Head Office located in Sydney. Responsibilities will extend to other locations requiring travel.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and execute continuous education initiatives within the organisation.
- Hold overall responsibility for identifying and fulfilling individual and organisational educational needs.
- Collaborate closely with Clinical Governance Lead while providing support to General Managers and Care Managers across various sites.
- Enhance workforce capability by developing education initiatives, employee development structures, pathways for all streams of development, skill capability progression, and onboarding processes.
- Facilitate, coordinate, plan, implement, and evaluate education initiatives and onboarding processes.
- Develop skills assessment programs for all roles that can be delivered locally at each site to build workforce capability.
- Develop new RN orientation and onboarding programs that support RN sponsorship opportunities.
- Develop RN & Carer buddy programs to build the skills of dedicated buddies and enhance the onboarding of new employees.
- Develop initiatives that promote the implementation of a household model.
- Review and evaluate the MHCG orientation program.
- Review the monthly education calendar of each site ensuring plans align with the continuous improvement plan and workforce capability program.
- Maintain documentation of education given to staff members including formal internal and external education, clinical instructions, practical demonstrations, lectures, videos, and any other relevant education.
- Organise external lectures by liaising with relevant bodies able to supply training needs.
- Provide monthly reports to the Quality Compliance Manager.
- Complete quarterly education evaluations for the Quality Compliance Manager.
- Deliver training sessions on clinical procedures as required.
- Liaise with relevant bodies regarding student/trainee needs.
- Maintain and promote standards of professional development of nursing and care staff to ensure best practice by providing education and support.
- Ensure standards are maintained in the clinical environment and practice particularly regarding WHS, Manual Handling, Infection Control, and Documentation.
- Encourage and facilitate the professional development of nursing and care staff.
Requirements include:
- Registered Nurse Division 1 - current unrestricted registration with AHPRA.
- Certificate 4 in Workplace Assessment and Training or working towards.
- Driver's license.
- Demonstrated clinical skills and experience.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to provide clinical and general education as required.
- Well-developed problem-solving and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and within a team.
- Knowledge and ability to use computers and technology efficiently.
- WHS knowledge and skills suitable for the position.
- Current Police Check.
- Appropriate Working Rights.
