About the Role

The Facilities Management Director will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to the maintenance team and contractors to ensure all areas of the centre are well maintained at the highest possible level of service.

Through the leadership and development of your team, you will support facility managers and other staff to deliver exceptional customer experiences, positive financial performance, and contract deliverables for the facility.

About You

You will demonstrate a successful track record in facilities management in accordance with operational practices, contractual requirements, quality systems, legislative regulations, and industry guidelines.

Ensure the facility is well presented, clean, and maintained at all times, while ensuring all appropriate reporting procedures are being followed.

Inherent in the role is the commitment to ethical practices, to foster strong team motivation, and reinforcement of the Belgravia Leisure values, contributing to the positive work culture across the centre.

To be considered for this role, you will be a seasoned and professional manager who leads with vision and energy, with extensive experience in commercial/business and contract management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute operational plans through engagement with the leadership team to ensure the provision of consistent quality services and programs to local communities.
  • Lead a dynamic and complex business operation, preferably from within the tourism, aquatic, retail, or hospitality industries.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders, including staff, customers, and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and pool water treatment and pool plant operations.
  • Provide coaching, inspiration, and leadership to the team to achieve exceptional business performance.

Requirements

  • Highly developed leadership skills, with experience in building successful teams and developing a high-performance culture.
  • Knowledge of general business operations and management principles.
  • Demonstrative experience leading a dynamic and complex business operation, preferably from within the tourism, aquatic, retail, or hospitality industries.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with a flair for positive influencing.
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation and pool water treatment and pool plant operations.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field and/or extensive experience in Centre/Facility Management or senior management experience in a related industry is highly desirable.
