Position Overview
We are seeking a Peer Practitioner to work with young people and their families, utilizing the practitioner's own lived experience of mental health recovery.
- This role involves providing direct support to individuals through a staged approach to recovery.
- The practitioner will also collaborate with the team to ensure services are consistent with recovery-oriented practice from a peer/lived experience perspective.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- SUPPORTING YOUNG PEOPLE THROUGH RECOVERY BY PROVIDING DIRECT SUPPORT AND EMPOWERMENT.
- COLLABORATING WITH TEAM MEMBERS TO ENSURE SERVICES ALIGN WITH RECOVERY-ORIENTED PRACTICE.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- TERTIARY QUALIFICATIONS IN A RELATED FIELD OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE.
- EXPERTISE IN WORKING WITH PEOPLE WITH MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES AND THEIR FAMILIES.
- ABILITY TO PROVIDE EMPATHIC PERSON-CENTRED RELATIONAL SUPPORT.
