Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop live regulatory frameworks for health, safety, and environment approvals plus compliance requirements
  • Promote a high-performance culture through building relationships and influencing key internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate primary approvals (i.e., referrals) and environment management plans/approvals documents, tracking progress against actions under these plans/programs and reporting internally and externally as appropriate
  • Develop work scopes for supporting studies such as air quality modelling, emissions modelling, GHG management plan, and other relevant studies
  • Identify any other regulatory or legal requirements and obtain regulatory approvals
  • Lead effective and timely engagement and collaboration with regulators and other stakeholders
  • Prepare and deliver presentations / education / awareness sessions as relevant to regulations
  • Manage services for the development and approval of regulatory requirements
  • Support commercial / government engagement efforts to establish regulations and approvals framework

Requirements:

  • Degree Qualified or Equivalent Tertiary and/or relevant work/industry experience in technical area
  • Environmental qualifications are desirable but not mandatory
  • Significant experience in provision of environmental/regulatory services to the Oil and Gas sector, Government sector, or in the regulatory space
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HSE legislation, policies, and processes related to oil and gas operations, experience in Northern Territory, Commonwealth, and Timor Leste environment legislation is desirable but not mandatory
  • Experience with CCS or related technical expertise is desirable but not mandatory
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and technical writing ability
  • Significant experience in HSE/regulatory project management
  • Demonstrable experience in the successful engagement and management of contractors/consultants
