Job Description:

To empower individuals with disabilities to live fulfilling lives, you will play a pivotal role in providing community support and fostering meaningful relationships within local communities. Your work will involve assisting clients in participating in community activities, engaging in purposeful opportunities, and building connections. This position can be demanding yet rewarding, as you positively impact the lives of those you support.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering person-centred programs to promote active lifestyles and community participation
  • Implementing behaviour support plans using positive strategies
  • Providing personal and hygiene care assistance
  • Maintaining accurate progress notes and records

About You:

This role demands resilience, both physically and emotionally. We seek individuals with a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities, who share our values and possess a good heart. Ideally, you should have:

  • Flexibility to work multiple shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and public holidays
  • Ability to provide personal and hygiene care - a vital aspect of this role
  • A current Australian driver's licence
  • A current First Aid and CPR certificate
  • A NSW Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain
  • High levels of enthusiasm, initiative, and a positive attitude, while acting with integrity, honesty, and respect
